Dr. Nancy Zeliff, a professor emeritus at Northwest Missouri State University, has been honored with induction into the Business Education National Hall of Fame. The prestigious induction took place during a ceremony at the 2024 National Business Education Association (NBEA) Convention in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
During the induction ceremony, a presenter highlighted Zeliff's significant contributions, stating, "Zeliff’s profound influence on business education spanning the past 40 years is immeasurable." The presenter also noted, "Her deserving place in the Business Education Hall of Fame is evident through the enduring legacy upheld by her former students who continue to emulate her teaching and service."
Zeliff, who retired from Northwest in 2023 after 35 years as a professor, has left a lasting impact on the field of business education. She served as an advisor for all business education majors and held leadership positions on various business education-related committees. At the national level, Zeliff was actively involved in the NBEA executive board, convention planning, and publications committees, as well as serving as president of the Pi Omega Pi National Council.
Known for her expertise in assessment and technology, Zeliff has authored, contributed to, or edited over 50 articles for NBEA publications. She has also presented at numerous conferences, with over 125 presentations at local, regional, and national events. Her dedication to the field of business education has earned her accolades such as being named the NBEA Teacher of the Year at a college or university in 2001.
Zeliff's commitment to business education extends beyond the national level, as she has also served in leadership roles at the regional and state levels. Her impact and influence have been felt by students and educators alike, making her a deserving addition to the Business Education Hall of Fame.
