Pershing Health System is set to host its annual Health Fair at two locations. The event will take place on June 27th and 28th at the Brookfield Park Baptist Church, and on June 29th and 30th at the Marceline Bethany Baptist Church, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Available tests include CMP with Lipid for $30, CBCA for $15, A1C for $20, Thyroid Panel (TSH & FT4) for $30, PSA (Men) Prostate Cancer Test for $20, and Colorectal Screening Kit available to do at home for $5. Fasting is recommended for the CMP with Lipid test.
Participants purchasing a complete blood workup during the Health Fair will be entered into a drawing for a free workup in 2023.
Attendees are advised to drink plenty of water the day before testing. "It is okay to have water & black coffee before testing," organizers noted. Social distancing measures will be in place, and masks are required. Anyone experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever, or shortness of breath or who has been exposed to Covid-19 should stay home.
