Northwest Missouri State University's Tourin’ Bearcats travel program is now open for reservations for its upcoming tour to Rome and the Amalfi Coast, scheduled from May 25 to June 3, 2026. The itinerary includes visits to notable sites such as the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Imperial Fora, Pompeii, and Sorrento. Participants will also visit a winery and farmhouse.
The cost of the trip starts at $5,999 per person with a required deposit of $698 at reservation. The deadline for early deposits is September 19, 2025, while final payments are due by February 24, 2026.
Included in the package are transportation from Maryville to Kansas City International Airport, round-trip airfare, eight breakfasts, one lunch, and four dinners. Rates are based on double occupancy departing from Kansas City International Airport and include taxes, fees, and hotel transfers. Cancellation waiver and insurance options are available for purchase.
Tourin’ Bearcats programs are sponsored by the Northwest Alumni Association and open to the public with limited reservations available. Recently in June, participants explored Switzerland and Northern Italy with stops in Zurich, Zermatt, St. Moritz, Lucerne along with a scenic rail journey through Bernina Pass and a cruise on Lake Maggiore.
“Our Northwest alumni and friends don’t realize how wonderful an experience these trips can be until they take the journey with us,” said Duane Havard, Northwest Director of Alumni Relations. “The stories, laughter and smiles shared during these trips are part of the wonderful adventure our participants enjoy.”
