Two staff members from Northwest Missouri State University have successfully completed the Leadership Northwest Missouri program for the spring 2025 cohort. The program aims to develop leadership skills among participants and provides opportunities to explore regional issues and build connections across a 19-county region.

Kaley Coulter, serving as the university event coordinator, and Kim Surprise, the creative services manager, were part of a group of 21 participants. They engaged with leaders from business, community, and government sectors through various activities including panel discussions and presentations. These sessions focused on identifying needs, resources, and opportunities within northwest Missouri.

The program commenced with a two-day retreat in January at Conception Abbey and included monthly daylong sessions at different locations in the region. It concluded with a graduation ceremony held on July 17 in St. Joseph.

Leadership Northwest Missouri was established in 1999 as a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3).
