Northwest Missouri State University held its winter commencement ceremonies on December 13, recognizing nearly 1,800 graduates. The students, aged between 19 and 69, completed their degrees last summer or during the fall semester.

As they prepared for the event, graduates took photos in the Student Recreation Center. The ceremonies took place at Bearcat Arena where international students carried flags of their countries and select graduates held banners representing their academic schools and departments.

"Graduates processed to Bearcat Arena, ready to enter for commencement ceremonies," noted one observer. During the event, Northwest President Dr. Lance Tatum addressed the graduates and their families.

Attendees observed a variety of emotions from the graduates as their degrees were conferred. Following the formalities, celebrations continued with classmates and loved ones marking the conclusion of Northwest's commencement ceremonies.
