Northwest Missouri State University's Student Activities Council (SAC) has announced a diverse range of events for the spring semester, aiming to enhance the social and cultural life on campus. The lineup includes traditional activities such as Northwest Week and introduces new attractions like a hypnotist performance.
SAC is dedicated to organizing activities that offer students engaging alternatives through concerts, lectures, movies, and comedians. "Our events provide a place for students to feel welcome and at home," stated Katelyn Briggs, SAC president and junior psychology major from Eagleville. She emphasized the importance of offering varied events to engage all student populations.
The spring schedule kicks off with "Vision Boards with SAC" on January 29 in the J.W. Jones Student Union Tower View Room. February features annual Flowergram orders from February 5-7 and a Board Game Night co-sponsored by B.D. Owens Library on February 25.
A highlight of the semester is therapeutic hypnotist Evan Gambardella's performance on February 26 at the Charles Johnson Theater in the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building. This event is free and open to everyone.
March will see a craft night on March 5 in the Student Union Ballroom, followed by Northwest Week from March 24-28, which includes various activities such as a T-shirt giveaway, picnic at Memorial Bell Tower, make-n-take event, and murder mystery party.
The spring lineup concludes with Northwest’s annual spring concert on April 4 and another collaboration with Owens Library for miniature golf on April 8.
