Cost of college went up for all students at Hillyard Technical Center

Tuition and fees rose 3.4 percent for 2018-19 at Hillyard Technical Center, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Missouri students paid $12,630 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $411 more than the $12,219 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 88 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 21 students received grants or scholarships totaling $141,749 and 15 students took out student loans totaling more than $91,398.

Including all undergraduates (90), 67 students used grants or scholarships totaling $524,203, and 61 students took out $482,641 in federal student loans.
