Northwest Missouri State University is gearing up to host its annual spring art show and sale, alongside the Empty Cups fundraiser. The event will showcase a variety of art pieces created by students, including pottery, cups, bowls, lidded jars, and small edition prints.

The art show and sale will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, April 19, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the Fire Arts Building's foyer, located south of the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building. Senior students Emily Davis, Justin Luster, and Emily Signaigo will be among the featured artists at the event.

Veronica Watkins, a Northwest assistant professor of art, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating, "We are excited to connect with the community and get some great artwork out of the studio and into the homes of others. The students have been working extremely hard."

In addition to the art show and sale, Northwest's Clay Club will be hosting the Empty Cups fundraiser on Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second floor of the J.W. Jones Student Union. The fundraiser encourages the Northwest community to purchase handmade ceramic cups, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Maryville Ministry Center.

For those interested in learning more about the Empty Cups fundraiser or the art sale, they can contact Veronica Watkins for further information.
