Northwest Missouri State University's online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program has once again been recognized for its excellence, maintaining its position among the best in the Midwest. According to CEO Magazine's 2024 Global MBA Rankings, Northwest is ranked at No. 77 in the world, making it the sole Missouri institution to feature in the prestigious list.
The MBA programs offered by Northwest are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, and they aim to cultivate future business leaders by equipping students with a diverse set of skills. These skills include ethical decision-making, financial planning, quantitative analysis, policy formulation, interpersonal relationships, and a deep understanding of the global economy.
Ben Blackford, the director of Northwest's MBA programs and a professor of business, highlighted the institution's commitment to providing a wide range of concentrations to cater to the professional aspirations and diverse interests of students. Blackford expressed pride in the flexibility and opportunities offered by the online program.
In addition to the existing concentrations, Northwest will introduce new specializations in accounting, finance, geographic information systems (GIS), and healthcare administration starting in the fall. The program also offers an accelerated option for individuals with an undergraduate business degree, allowing them to complete the MBA within 12 months.
The rankings published by CEO Magazine are the result of data collected from MBA programs in 24 countries. The ranking system takes into account various criteria such as faculty quality, international diversity, class size, accreditation, faculty-to-student ratio, price, and professional development opportunities. CEO Magazine aims to provide potential students with a reliable benchmark to evaluate the performance of the schools reviewed.
