Board of Regents to meet for regular session, work session April 25

Northwest Missouri State University's Board of Regents is set to convene for a regular session and work session on April 25. The meeting will take place at the J.W. Jones Student Union Boardroom on the university's Maryville campus.

According to a statement from the university, the Board will commence its regular session at 1 p.m., with a tentative agenda accessible on the university's website. Prior to this, a work session will be held at 10:30 a.m., with a separate agenda also available online.

The agenda for the regular session includes a vote to close part of the meeting in accordance with R.S. Mo 610.021(14). Following any closed session, the Board may choose to return to an open session to address old business or introduce new items as deemed necessary by individual members.

In preparation for the upcoming meetings, the Board emphasizes its role in overseeing the university's operations, stating that "The is responsible for sound resource management of the University and for determining general, educational and financial policies."

The Board of Regents plays a vital role in guiding the direction of Northwest Missouri State University, ensuring that decisions made align with the institution's mission and values.
