Terri Vogel, registrar at Northwest Missouri State University, has received the Georgeanne Porter Award for Professional Service from the Missouri Association for Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (MACRAO). The award was presented during MACRAO’s 89th Annual Conference held in Lake of the Ozarks. It recognizes a member who demonstrates outstanding leadership in admissions, registrar, or enrollment management.
Dr. Allison Hoffmann, associate provost for enrollment management and student success at Northwest, praised Vogel’s leadership. “Terri’s ability to lead with both strategy and empathy has kept her department organized, effective and student-centered throughout these many transitions,” Hoffmann said. “She fosters open communication, encourages collaboration and models adaptability – qualities that inspire trust and confidence across the institution. What distinguishes her leadership is not only her capacity to manage complexity but her commitment to uplifting people in the process. She ensures her staff feel valued, her colleagues feel supported and students remain at the center of every decision.”
Vogel has been active within MACRAO since 2008. She served as president during 2020-2021 and has held other roles including chairman of the Records and Registration Committee and co-chair of the Committee for New Membership. Additionally, she has contributed by presenting and moderating sessions at annual conferences.
Vogel has worked at Northwest since 1998 and became registrar in 2010. She holds both a bachelor’s degree in industrial psychology and a Master of Business Administration from Northwest Missouri State University.
MACRAO is affiliated regionally with the American Association of College Registrars and Admission Officers.
