Northwest Missouri State University's Tourin’ Bearcats program is offering a second travel experience to Switzerland and Northern Italy in response to high demand. The new trip, scheduled for July 13-23, 2025, comes after the first excursion in June sold out.

Participants will explore various destinations such as Zurich, Zermatt, St. Moritz, and Lucerne. Highlights include a scenic train ride through the Bernina Pass and a cruise on Lake Maggiore. Travelers will also visit Borromeo Palace and Mount Pilatus.

Duane Havard, Northwest Director of Alumni Relations, expressed satisfaction with the program's popularity: “We are pleased by the interest in the travel experiences we offer and the opportunities for our Bearcats and friends to travel together.”

The cost of the tour starts at $5,999 per person, with a deposit of $698 required upon reservation. The deadline for reservations is January 7, 2025, with final payments due by April 14, 2025. Optional travel insurance is available for an additional $549 per person.

Included in the package are transportation from Maryville to Kansas City International Airport, round-trip airfare, and meals comprising nine breakfasts, one lunch, and four dinners. Rates are based on double occupancy departing from Kansas City International Airport and cover taxes, fees, and hotel transfers. Cancellation waivers and insurance can be purchased separately.

The Tourin’ Bearcats programs are open to the public through sponsorship by the Northwest Alumni Association. Reservations are limited.
