Northwest Missouri State University is set to host its 49th annual Yuletide Feaste, featuring a royal meal and performances by various music ensembles. The event will take place on Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the J.W. Jones Student Union Ballroom.

Tickets for the event are priced at $50 and are available for purchase online. Attendance is capped at 320 guests each evening, with all tickets requiring reserved seating. No sales will be made at the door.

Dr. Adam Zrust, an assistant professor of music and director of the Madraliers chamber choir, commented on the tradition: "One of the many wonderful traditions at Northwest is the annual Yuletide Feaste," adding that it promises "merriment, laughter, great food and excellent music."

The festivities aim to recreate Christmas celebrations reminiscent of old England's holiday traditions. The menu includes items such as wassail, bacon bleu cheese cranberry cheeseball with pecans, carved steamship with au jus and horseradish sauce, among other delicacies.

Performances during the evening will include contributions from the Madraliers chamber choir, Royale Brass Quintet and Renaissance Recorder Consort. The Madraliers ensemble specializes in music ranging from the 16th century to contemporary compositions.

For further details about the event or inquiries regarding ticket purchases, interested parties can reach out to Northwest's Department of Fine and Performing Arts at 660.562.1326.
