Northwest Missouri State University will host comedian Mike E. Winfield on November 20. The event, organized by the Student Activities Council (SAC), is set for 7 p.m. at the Charles Johnson Theater in the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building. It is free and open to the public.
Winfield, originally from Baltimore, has built a career in comedy after moving to California. His credits include appearances on "America's Got Talent," "Late Show with David Letterman," and "Brad Paisley’s Comedy Rodeo" on Netflix, as well as a recurring role on NBC’s "The Office." He has also been nominated for an Emmy and appeared in several films.
His comedy often draws from personal experiences, including his marriage to an older woman with a child. Winfield humorously shares how he was initially unprepared for marriage but has since formed a strong bond with his stepson, whom he affectionately calls “StepMAN.”
The SAC aims to enhance student life at Northwest by offering diverse social, recreational, and cultural activities. Throughout the year, it provides students with entertainment options such as concerts, lectures, movies, and comedic performances.
