X Ambassadors, a well-known rock trio, will perform at Northwest Missouri State University's annual spring concert. The event, organized by the Student Activities Council (SAC), is scheduled for April 4 in the Carl and Cheryl Hughes Fieldhouse. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m.
Tickets for Northwest students and employees are priced at $10 in advance or $15 on the day of the concert. Public tickets are available for $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the show.
"We wanted to bring a different genre to Northwest this year, and we thought this band would give an exciting performance as well as perform some great music," said SAC Co-Concert Director Ben Bueneman.
The band X Ambassadors was formed in 2009 by brothers Sam Nelson Harris and Casey Harris while they were in high school. They later added drummer Adam Levin. Their debut album "VHS" was released in 2015 and included hit singles like “Unsteady” and “Renegades.” The band's subsequent albums include "ORION" (2019), "The Beautiful Liar" (2021), and "Townie" (2024).
In addition to their albums, X Ambassadors' song “Deep End” featured in the movie “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” in 2023. Sam Nelson Harris has also pursued solo projects, collaborating with various artists across different genres.
“It is always such a fun event for students and community members alike, and it’s not very often that there is a concert of this size in Maryville and for the price,” said Avery Baker, SAC’s co-concert director.
SAC will organize tailgate activities outside Hughes Fieldhouse before the concert begins. Food trucks will be available during these activities.
Northwest's Student Activities Council is responsible for planning events that enhance social, recreational, and cultural life on campus.
