Northwest Missouri State University mourns student killed in car crash

Northwest Missouri State University is grieving the loss of one of its students following a fatal car accident. Jase Wilmes, a freshman majoring in agricultural business from New Market, Iowa, died at the scene of the crash near Clarinda, Iowa.

The university is offering support to those affected by this tragedy. Students seeking counseling services are encouraged to reach out at 660.562.1348 or 660.562.1254 for assistance. Faculty and staff have access to support through the University employee assistance program at 800.964.3577 or can contact Dacey Hassey, a certified licensed professional counselor affiliated with Northwest’s partnership with the Family Guidance Center, at 816.261.3091.
