79 percent of applicants to Northwest Missouri State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Northwest Missouri State University, 95 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Maryville enrolled 6,857 students in fall 2018, including 5,654 in undergraduate and 1,203 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

67 percent of undergraduates are residents of Missouri, and 31 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (81 percent) and Black or African American (5 percent).

The school admitted 79 percent of the 6,049 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
