Activities sponsored by the Student Activities Council (SAC) at Northwest Missouri State University aim to foster student engagement, explore interests, and help students build friendships outside of their classrooms. This fall, SAC will host a series of events featuring a magician, a change-making speaker, and a comedian.

The fall schedule includes Savio Joseph on Friday, Sept. 27; Payton Head on Thursday, Oct. 3; and comedian Mike E. Winfield on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Each event begins at 7 p.m. in the Charles Johnson Theater at the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building and is free and open to the public.

“The Northwest Student Activities Council is committed to creating a vibrant campus community this fall by offering events that foster student engagement, inclusivity and fun,” said Natasha Metzger, SAC president. “Whether you’re looking to make new friends, explore new interests or simply take a break from your studies, our events offer something for everyone.”

In addition to its lineup of speakers, SAC organizes various social and recreational activities throughout the academic year. This fall’s activities include a craft night on Thursday, Sept. 19; Grocery Bingo on Thursday, Oct. 24; Late Night at the Rec on Thursday, Nov. 14; and Lego Night on Thursday, Nov. 7.

SAC plans these activities to contribute to a well-rounded social, recreational and cultural life for both campus and community members.

Details about the speaking guests are as follows:

**Savio Joseph**

A first-generation Indian-Canadian magician known for his skills in mentalism, pickpocketing, sleight of hand and hypnosis. Savio Joseph gained prominence as a finalist on "Canada’s Got Talent" and has been featured by MacLean’s magazine among other outlets.

**Payton Head**

An advocate for equity who empowers students and administrators to fight hatred with radical love for others and themselves. After spearheading conversations about race relations in Missouri following events in Ferguson in 2014, he co-authored an inclusion strategy guide with the National Campus Leadership Council and U.S. Department of Education.

**Mike E Winfield**

A comedian whose style is both refreshing and relatable. Mike E Winfield has appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman," NBC’s "The Office," Netflix's "Brad Paisley’s Comedy Rodeo," among other platforms.
