The Northwest Missouri State University Tower Choir is set to perform at the Nebraska Music Educators Association (NMEA) In-Service Workshop and Conference in November. The choir will take the stage on November 21 at St. Paul’s United Methodist in Lincoln, with a preview performance scheduled for November 10 at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts on their home campus.

This marks the fourth invitation for the Tower Choir to perform at NMEA since 2011. Dr. Adam Zrust, assistant professor of music and conductor of the Tower Choir, noted the historical connection between Northwest music ensembles and Nebraska musicians: “Our performance at NMEA in November is an opportunity to give back and share our artistry with those who have given us so much.”

The conference attracts hundreds of choral professionals, educators, and students, offering a platform that represents a significant honor for school music ensembles. The Tower Choir last performed at NMEA in 2017.

Established in the 1940s by Ralph E. Hartzell, the Tower Choir is renowned for its performances across various venues including high schools, colleges, universities, churches, and other institutions throughout the Midwest. They also participate in peer-reviewed concerts for conventions and symposia.
