Northwest Missouri State University is set to host its 24th annual Brick & Click library conference on Friday, November 1. The event will take place at the B.D. Owens Library and aims to focus on student academic success.
The one-day conference will bring together library professionals and faculty from various institutions across the country. Discussions and presentations will cover topics pertinent to modern academic libraries, including leadership, artificial intelligence, student-led initiatives and engagement, e-learning, collection development and cataloging, as well as research tools.
Brandy Brady, director of library services and operations at Northwest Missouri State University, described the event as "a more intimate conference where you can really network and learn and get ideas from people."
The B.D. Owens Library hosts over 123,000 books, documents, and bound periodicals. It also offers nearly 66,675 electronic periodicals and more than 330,000 eBooks through platforms like EBSCOhost and Overdrive. Additionally, the library features Novel Grounds—a coffee house-style seating area with a Starbucks.
